636 Hayworth Ave, Los Angeles, CA, USA (Photographed by Jungmin Lee)

In London Ancient and Modern class at ArtCenter, I researched on Dingbat apartment:
a two or three story multi residence made with a stucco body with a carport underneath.

I found the Hayworth Dingbat Apartment Historical District, where it has the 18 intact examples of Dingbats created from 1946-56. My project is making a series of artwork on the “endangered” apartment and to share them representing the nostalgic time of LA with more people. (Quote inspired by Leslie Marlene Siegel)
I made a newspaper that documents my work and process.
My project comes with a mailbox with artworks inside of mailed envelopes. I studied
the distinct personalities of each Dingbat Apartments, and to express their uniqueness through experiments, such as photography, 3d objects, drawings, paintings, and printmaking. During the spring break, the class visited London and we presented each of our project to creatives and studios.
